scince class the week of may 4
in science class we learned about the gravitation of objects and how planets rotate. because of the force that the earth pulls on the moon and the force the moon is pushing out, it gets pulled into a rotating orbit. the tides are formed from the moon pulling at the ocean up and the earth pulling back. that is why when the moon is on the side of the earth that most of the ocean is, the tide is higher and stronger than when the moon is on the opposite side of the earth. also the phases of the moon depend on where it is located and if the rest of the earth are blocking the rest of the light reflected from the moon.
