week of june 1

we conducted an experiment where we put pieces of wood in a test tube and connected it to another test tube that was resting in water. when we held it over the fire, the wood was no getting hit directly becuase of the glass test tube but it looked like it was still burning. after a while only the carbon was left and all of the other elements were pushed though the tubes into the test tube in the water. it smelled very weird because of all the elements in the wood were burned out.
